"The best acting is instinctive. It's not intellectual, it's not mechanical, it's instinctive."
My passion for the arts started at age six when I began ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap dance. The intense energy I received when performing, made me continuously eager to add even more. I started Hip Hop and fell in love, adding it to my competitive dance routine. The thrill and pace led me to join an all teen and adult troupe at the young age of ten in order to push myself even harder. At this same time, I started modeling for Little Divas which was formed to foster the mindset in children to love themselves as well as their peers. Their No Bullying Campaign was used at local elementary schools to teach self-love to children. I was honored to be selected as the student ambassador teaching this approach through dance and modeling. This experience was a true gift for me. I was able to help other adolescents, while growing myself as a person and a role model at a young age.
Soon, I wanted to learn any dance style as I loved finding various self-expressions in all varieties and techniques. Ballroom and swing became a perfect fit for my next quest, theater. I saw Valley Youth Theatre perform The Little Mermaid at the Herberger Theatre. Purchasing the last two seats on closing night, even on the last row balcony, I was mesmerized. My mother saw the light in my eyes and assured me that if I wanted to be an actress I could be just like them with hard work and determination. I vowed to not only strive to be an actress but to on THAT very stage one day. Seeing what the directors created, I was determined to give my everything to be there. I added voice lessons and acting classes at VYT to my routine schedule. Just three years later, just as my mother promised if I worked hard, I was on that very stage! I landed a role dancing and singing as a Big Kid in Matilda. The sense of accomplishment being in a cast directed by Bobb Cooper, makes you feel you have wings and the sky is the limit.
I am now an active member with Valley Youth Theatre making their VYT Teen Troupe. I also am continuously enrolling in classes like Eric Lee Olsen’s Improvisation training where I am now a Masters Level Student. Currently, I am a model/actor/voice talent in AZ for Ford Robert Black, a model for Nathalie & Company, and have various film and commercial credits. I never take any of this amazing adventure for granted, knowing God has blessed me with so many opportunities. I will never forget those who encourage, inspire, and have faith in my abilities.
